TriangulAIte

About

Built by people who've done this for real.

TriangulAIte exists to turn AI from a persuasive storyteller into an instrument you can trust under pressure, one that surfaces the evidence, the disagreement, and the uncertainty instead of hiding them.

The team

Who's behind it.

TriangulAIte began with Steve's years as an intelligence analyst at the NSA. The methods intelligence analysts use are slow and demanding, and they work. Done properly, they get to the truth when the information is incomplete, conflicting, or built to deceive, and their conclusions hold up when they're challenged. Steve, Josh, and Donald practiced those methods together as intelligence analysts through two deployments to Afghanistan in U.S. Army special operations.

Anyone can buy access to a powerful AI model. Knowing how a sound judgment is reached, and every way it goes wrong, is far harder to come by. Steve, Josh, and Donald did that work for a living.

Done by hand, that rigor takes more time than most business decisions allow. AI can now carry much of the work, at a speed and scale no team of analysts could match, and that's what TriangulAIte is built to do.

TriangulAIte is in development, with demos starting in mid-January 2027.

Steve Collins

Chief Executive Officer

An intelligence analyst turned data and AI executive, with twenty years of finding rare, high-stakes signals in noisy data, from counterterrorism to fraud and money laundering in payments.

Steve leads TriangulAIte. He began his career as a counterterrorism intelligence analyst at the National Security Agency, then deployed twice to Afghanistan in U.S. Army special operations as his team's principal intelligence analyst and assistant team sergeant. He's done hands-on data science for fifteen years and built the data function at three companies, most recently as Vice President of Data and Analytics at Plooto. At a blockchain data company acquired by NYDIG, he grew the data team from one person to twelve and owned the revenue of a client practice serving more than 20 institutional customers. He has an accepted contribution to NVIDIA's open-source cuML machine learning library, and is a seed investor in and advisor to a legal AI startup. He went through the National Science Foundation's I-Corps program as an entrepreneurial lead, and later mentored a founding team through it. He holds an MBA and an MS in business analytics from the University of Illinois Chicago.

Josh Seaton

Chief Technology Officer

A career intelligence analyst in U.S. Army special operations and a published PhD computer scientist, who has spent his career on both sides: doing the analysis, and building the software analysts use.

Over twenty years in the U.S. Army as an intelligence analyst and leader, Josh kept writing the tools that sped up his teams' analysis, and partway through, while in the National Guard, he built software for the intelligence community at Northrop Grumman. He was Steve's team leader on both of their Afghanistan deployments in U.S. Army special operations, responsible for the team's analytic production, and he retired as a detachment sergeant in Army special operations. He then worked as a software engineer at Radiant Solutions and earned a PhD in computer science at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, publishing research on how teams of autonomous agents coordinate and make decisions with limited information, and on network security, in journals including IEEE Control Systems Letters. He leads TriangulAIte's technology.

Donald Franks

Analytic Methodologist

An all-source intelligence analyst, the one who brings every source together into the final judgment, who finished his Army career leading intelligence operations for a Special Forces battalion.

Donald served as an all-source intelligence analyst in U.S. Army special operations, deploying twice to Afghanistan alongside Steve and Josh, and finished as the noncommissioned officer in charge of intelligence operations for a Special Forces battalion. He has taught analytic methods and built structured training plans for departments of all-source analysts. At TriangulAIte he works with Steve to adapt the analytic tradecraft of intelligence work to investment questions. He holds a master's in computer science from Merrimack College.
